Spotted this new readymade vegan cookie dough from Eat Pastry over at The Dieline. No word yet on when it will be available. But the package design is indeed quite fancy!

My 10 Favourite Vegan Junkfoods!
Saw this post on vegansaurus. Me want cookies.  This needs to be incorporated into vegan ice cream because vegan cookie dough ice cream would make my heart cry in a very good way.
This also got me thinking about my all time favourite Vegan convenience food splurges. Junkfood is junkfood, but it is a little less crappier when it’s vegan.
Let us pour one out for vegan treats here and gone!
Starbucks Lowfat Vegan Fudge Brownie (2002-2008)So fudgy, so icing-y, so only 1.7 grams of fat. I loved these bad boys and seriously only got pregnant again so I could splurge on them guilt-free and then stupid Starbucks stopped carrying them and I still had to have the kid. Good thing she’s perfect. Stupid Starbucks.
Sweet Nothings Vegan Ice Cream Pints(1999-2001)Sweetened with fruit juice, unburdened by fat, and so many lovely flavours there were: french vanilla and dark chocolate, something that had to do with a tiger but had delicious fudge bits rather than icky licorice stripes, mint chocolate chip. And then one day, they were gone. No note. No phone call. No apology for getting me hopelessly addicted to these vegan, fat free, sugar free tubs of love. Just an empty place in the freezer section of Seed of Life Natural Foods. Don’t they know I almost got a ticket for double parking on Government Street to get my fix?Apparently, Turtle Mountain still makes a fudgsicle type thing. I’d take it. I’m not proud.
Primal Strips (still with us!)Who doesn’t love super salty pepperoni? I super love it. And these are tasty. And salty. And low fat. Eat-em!
MoTuna Patties (2000-2002)I cannot find even a glimmer of the deliciousness that these once were, not even in the annuls of the Internet. Purple Box? There was MoBeef and MoChicken as well, but MoTuna was the biz-omb! The only place I ever saw them was Safeway? Anyone? At any rate, these yummykins were the only attempt at replicating fish I have ever encountered, and damn, if they weren’t tasty. Decidedly un-fishlike, but a coastal girl like me will take what I can get. They had lemon and dill undertones and the texture was divine. I would smother these bad boys in fresh cut salsa from Caper’s and be the happiest lady that ever there was. MoTuna, you are sorely missed.
Amy’s Shepherd’s Pie (still with us)Just good for those days when you think someone else should cook for a change, but you probably wouldn’t eat what they made anyway. mmmmm.
Yves Stuff, back in the diz-ay (Late 90s-early 2000s)Yves veggie stuff used to contain no fat and it tasted so much better! They had these jumbo spicy veggie dogs that had red chillies in them-so freakin’ good. And the burgers-so much less slimy, so much more yummy! Cover those lovelies in ketchup and enjoy. These days the veggie salami is the only vestige of the former Yves. Miss ya, buddy.
Fat Free So Good and NesQuik (still with us!!!!!!)Nuff said. And the Vanilla’s even better!
So Nice Noel Nog (still with us)Even better with rum. Or chai tea, whatever.
Purdies Dark Chocolate Bars (still with us)I like to tell myself I eat them because they’re good for the heart. And I’m 22. These are things I like to tell myself.
CERAEL!!!!!!! Almost all of it is vegan if you use soy or my favouritest rice milk. I recommend Count Chocula. Or Multigrain Krispies. Vanilla Almond Special K. Or Raisin Bran. Or Grape Nuts. Or Cheerios. Or anything Nature’s Path (but especially Millet Rice or Heritage Os).
I like eating. It’s good.
